My Astrological Journey
My interest in astrology began when I was only 7 years old. My elderly babysitter, Mrs. Davis, and I would always work on the daily newspaper crossword puzzle together, and one day I asked about the daily horoscopes.
She lit up and said, “Oh those tell you what’s going to happen today!” I was floored. Why isn’t this on the front page?!? So I read them everyday and shared them with my family. Some days they were uncanny, and they were based only on your birthday.
As I grew older, I developed some skepticism about astrology but still loved the idea that there were other energies at play that we couldn’t see. Then, in my freshman year of college, I had a professor who taught me about the many layers of astrology beyond your birthday or sun sign. As I went deeper into my study of astrology and learned about rising signs, houses and planetary aspects, I was amazed at how accurate and precise it could be. I got my degree from the University of Notre Dame in classical studies with a focus on mythology and archetypes in world literature.
After many years of professional involvement in music, public education and eventually international corporate business, I realized career fulfillment would come only through my passion for astrology, and Lakeview Astrology was born.
I built the formal foundation of my Zodiacal knowledge under the tutelage of local Master Astrologer and Jungian Psychologist, Dr. John Wessels, and I have continued to add skills by completing master classes from internationally renowned Astrologers Rick Levine, Joe Landwehr, Dr. Stormie Grace, Adam Gainsburg, Georgia Stathis, Cassandra Joan Butler and more. I love picking up new astrological concepts and techniques.
Everyday I wake up excited to work with clients helping them better understand themselves and the world around them, and as we exchange ideas about their charts, they never fail to teach me new truths about this ancient practice. I’m so lucky to have found my path, and I can help you find yours.
My Mission
Astrology is a wonderful language for learning to see beneath the appearance of things into that place of sacred intelligence. By working with clients to familiarize them with this language and the metaphorical framework of astrology, I engage clients in profound conversations in which they discover their own sacred intelligence.
This deeper understanding empowers them to live more meaningful and rich lives with confidence and love. They become creators of their world and not just subjects of it. As each individual raises their awareness and consciousness, all are lifted, and together, we can create a better world for ourselves.

I’m so lucky to live in a place that has a beautiful view of Shelley Lake in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I’m constantly in awe of its beauty. Although my house doesn’t move, my view changes almost daily as weather and seasons bring new conditions, foliage and migrations. It’s truly an inspiration and provides me with a deep connection to the cycles of life, which in turn, helps me tune into the patterns of wisdom in astrology.
